Chromium
Chromium as a TermSurf engine—embedded panes, not a daily browser app.
What you can do
Use Chromium as one of the engines TermSurf embeds in a pane. Get real web content beside your shell, with its own profiles. Do not treat the helper as your everyday browser UI.
Open pages through TermSurf or Web. Do not launch the helper yourself for normal work. Selector name: chromium.
Installation
Engine helpers ship with the same Homebrew cask as TermSurf. Helper binary: ah-chromiumd (profile server). Homebrew opt path example: /opt/homebrew/opt/astrohacker-terminal-ah-chromiumd/.
Install Astrohacker TermSurf
Homebrew cask · Apple silicon macOS
brewtapastrohackerlabs/astrohacker
brewtrustastrohackerlabs/astrohacker
brewinstall--caskastrohacker
Then open Astrohacker TermSurf.app from Applications.
Configuration
Per-profile data: $XDG_DATA_HOME/astrohacker/terminal/chromium-profiles/<profile>/ (default data home ~/.local/share).
Logs often under state, e.g. chromium-server.log in $XDG_STATE_HOME/astrohacker/terminal/.
