Open URLs and browser panes in TermSurf—web as a shell command surface.

What you can do

From a shell in TermSurf, open a page in a pane. Choose an engine family and a profile. Keep working without leaving the host window.

This uses the TermSurf protocol and engine helpers. Engine selectors use family names: chromium, webkit, ladybird. Gecko is not a shipped public option here.

Typical shape after install:

ahweb example.com --browser webkit --profile work

Installation

The web command and engine helpers ship in the same install as TermSurf. Command: ahweb.

Install Astrohacker TermSurf

Homebrew cask · Apple silicon macOS

Select

brewtapastrohackerlabs/astrohacker

brewtrustastrohackerlabs/astrohacker

brewinstall--caskastrohacker

Then open Astrohacker TermSurf.app from Applications.

Configuration

Browser profile data lives under TermSurf XDG data paths (per-engine profile directories). See TermSurf configuration.
